Two weeks 'til paradise

I have decided I will use the internet to document my trip to Puerto Rico. I want to do this so that my friends and family will be able to see what I am up to... but also because I want to be able to look back during my mid-life crisis and remember that I did this.

I will be going to The University of Puerto Rico- Río Piedras. I am participating in a program offered at IPFW called the National Student Exchange. I will be paying tuition at IPFW but attending classes/ receiving credit at IPFW. The classes will be entirely in Spanish. I am most excited about 2 classes: Puerto Rican Literature and The History of Cuba.

Speaking of Cuba, I have made the executive decision that I should wait until A) the Cubans won't throw me in jail and B) the US quits charging the $10,000 penalty if they find out you go. And on top of it all, my dad says don't go.... and he's a pretty intelligent guy. I think I'll listen to him.

Ok. Well. I just wanted to get this blog started. The next time I post I will be outttta here.
